Photocopy of a letter, written in French, from George Drouillard, St. Louis, Missouri, to his sister Marie Louise Parrent, Detroit, Sandwich, concerning his 1808 acquittal of the murder of Antoine Bissonette, a deserter from the 1807 Manuel Lisa-Drouillard Yellowstone River expedition. Included is a photocopy of the English translation as it appears in Olin D. Wheeler's 1904 book, The Trail of Lewis and Clark, 1804-1904.
